In May, we hosted a special event to showcase and honor some of our favorite Interior Designers. This was a first for us, and it was so successful that we plan to continue this as a tradition. We invited five top Colorado interior designers that we frequently work with to create a bedroom design and to select each of its main features: a duvet cover and shams, a coverlet, sheets and pillowcases, a throw, and decorative pillows. Camellia Interior Design is one of the selected design companies that participated.
Laura Abramson-Pritchard grew up in the South where an appreciation of rich architecture and warm interior details were nurtured. Her education in art history and her work in education helped her understand how important environment is to reaching an individual’s potential. As the principal of Camellia Interior Design, she applies her knowledge and experience to help her client’s find their voice with regard to their environments. For our May Designer Event, Laura created actual architecture to frame her aesthetic. Her inspiration for the space was an embroidered olive branch that she applied to a linen duvet cover and shams. Creating a vintage look, she designed lovely crochet-edged sheeting and then pulled shades of green and purple through to the beautiful taffeta plaid drape and decorative pillows. Definitely a space with soul.
