Karyn McGowan has been creating award winning interiors for 25 years. She cut her teeth working for two nationally recognized firms before starting her own business, KPM Design, in 1998. KPM strives to create interior designs that are timeless by implementing modern materials on to classic forms. Whether the style of the home is traditional, contemporary, or eclectic, Karyn combines beauty and function to meet the needs and expectations of her clients and their lifestyle.
As a full-service firm, KPM Design provides project management and is the creative bridge between home owner, builder, and architect. “I try to listen carefully to what the client needs and wants and balance that carefully with his or her expectations,” Karyn said. “I make it a point to keep my projects on time and on budget and have received a lot of favorable feedback about my ability to distinguish myself in this way, especially with budget management.”
Karyn McGowan received a B.S. in Interior Design from Colorado State University with an emphasis in textiles. Her firm’s work has been published in LUXE magazine, Colorado Home and Lifestyles magazine, and “Spectacular Homes of Colorado”. She and her firm have also received the NAHB award for “Best Home in the Nation 2007” and numerous MAME Awards for Best Interior Design – Custom Home category. In addition to project management and budget management, Karyn specializes in bedroom design, kitchen and bath design, home furnishings and accessorizing, and custom window coverings.
