Many of us who love design have a very active Pinterest account. We see things all the time that excite and entice us; images that we love and wish for ourselves. The problem for most of us is that we aren’t quite sure what, how, and when to implement. This is where Susan Hall, of Buttercup Home Custom Interiors, comes in. She actually uses Pinterest as a design and communication tool with her clients, making for a very interactive experience.
Susan studied photography and graphic design at UCLA and worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art before moving to Boulder in 2009 when she launched her design services business. “The stars were aligned for me at that time,” says Hall. “I love design as much as I love people, which helps tremendously in the collaboration that needs to take place.”
In fact, Susan Hall prides herself on this ability to collaborate successfully with clients in order to help them take chances that result in a home that is both practical and beautiful. If she was to categorize her aesthetic, it would be modern-eclectic, inspired by life, travel and art influences. She loves to incorporate color and pattern into interiors and lace with art, creating cohesive spaces that are alive with visual interest.
To meet Susan and see her vision for the perfect bed and to discuss bedroom design and interior design services with her, please come to Defining Design on Thursday, May 10, from 5 – 8 pm. Maybe you will leave having scheduled a free consultation with her, or learn about what kind of design exercises she uses to tease out what your special aesthetic is.
